Behind the Plates: Studio Stories

From a lump of clay to a finished table piece, every Tarti Studio plate carries a story of touch, fire, and daily use.

A plate may be one of the most familiar objects in a home, yet making one by hand involves dozens of decisions. Its curve affects how it feels to hold, the rim changes how food is framed, and the foot determines how it rests on the table.

At Tarti Studio, plates are shaped with everyday use in mind. Besarta refines each form while preserving the small traces that show it was made by a person rather than a machine.

After drying and firing, glaze brings another layer of variation. The result is a practical object with a quiet presence—made for shared meals, slow mornings, and the stories that gather around a table.
