How the Rustic Collection Takes Shape

The Rustic Collection begins with simple forms and an appreciation for natural texture. Besarta sketches loosely, then works directly with the clay so that the material can influence the final shape.

Each piece is formed, refined, and left to dry slowly before its first firing. Glazes are chosen to complement the clay rather than hide it, with soft variations that become visible only after the kiln has cooled.

The finished collection is intentionally understated: useful objects with warm surfaces, gentle irregularities, and enough character to feel at home on an everyday table.
